Gareth Davies - Rising Star Plays: House and Melodic Trance
Gareth’s love for music began at a very early age and it was always certain that something huge was going to come of it for him. He started with a love for electronic music with the likes of SASH! and K-Klass catching his attention. At the tender age of 15, he taught himself to mix on belt driven turntables, his early style was hard house, hard trance and hardcore.
Aged just 19, Gareth gained his first residency at Beluga Bar in trendy Cleethorpes and here he discovered his love for upfront house music, from here he went on to have regular sets at North East Lincolnshire’s most popular bars and clubs.
Gareth’s popularity rocketed from here on in and he conquered every big night around and gained residencies that saw him playing all weekend every weekend at events such as Koolwaters, Ultrasonic and Electrik Playground. Gareth then went on to smash local nights such as SWISH and Devotion.
He soon established himself as the areas finest House and Trance DJ and became the biggest name on the scene with every promoter guaranteeing themselves success with Gareth on the menu.
His profile was boosted greatly by supporting international DJs Judge Jules, Marco V, Marc Vedo, Boy George, Matt Hardwick, Le Funnk, Simon Patterson, Hayley Parsons, Activa, Tristan D, Lisa Lashes, Mistress De Funk, Kate Lawler, The Squatters, K-Klass, Alister Whitehead, Ultrabeat, N-Trance, Ant Brooks, Tom EQ, Riley and Durrant, Lee Haslam and Mark EG.
Gareth is currently resident for Apparition which is the East Coasts' Premier House music brand at the The Pier Nightclub (Cleethorpes).
Gareth is determined to grow as a versatile DJ, and to play at various venues all over the country to different crowds and is going to begin producing. He has recently played at the UKs biggest nightclub Syndicate Blackpool, The Welly Club Hull ,The Plug Sheffield and brand new superclub GrandCentral Skegness.
Towards the end of 2010 Gareth won the Nocturnal Sheffield DJ competition seeing off the cream of local DJs to win a bi-montly residency at the nationally famous club which many international DJs perform at. His first gig was warming up for the world famous Electrik Playground as the new mixing champion.
